Early Intervention Services
These services are provided by the state of New Jersey for children ages birth through age 3. This is no longer a free service and session costs are based on individualized proven financial need.

How we can help?
We provide services to children birth through the age of 3. Although we are a private center and not funded by the state, we accept most early intervention evaluations performed by a Speech Pathologist and are able to provide services based on that report. Report needs to be performed within the last 8 months. If your child does not have a current evaluation, we can provide an evaluation to determine your child's overall strengths and weaknesses. If your child does not receive services because they did not QUALIFY for services, we can provide services.

If your child does receive early intervention services through the state, we can supplement those services and work together with the early intervention team to assist with carrying over goals between settings and people.

School Services
School services are routinely provided when a child qualifies for school-based Speech Pathology Services through a classification:

Eligible for Speech and Language Services (ESLS)
This classification is usually provided when a child is seen for speech only (Articulation). This classification is given and services are provided when your child is considered impaired enough to qualify for the criteria of the school district.

How we can help?
After careful review of an evaluation that was performed within the school environment, we may be able to accept that evaluation and provide therapy based on that report. (Standardized scored need to be present and evaluation report needs to be less than 8 months old). If you feel your child still needs direct intervention services even after your child has been discharged from speech, we can reexamine that. School criteria is different than that in a private setting.

Other Classifications
Within the state of New Jersey, there are different criteria for differential diagnosis of learning issues. Therefore, after child study team testing is performed, if your child qualifies for a classification (falls within a certain standard deviation below the mean in certain tests and areas) your child may qualify for speech and language therapy as a supplemental service.

How can we help?
We can supplement those services privately with accepting a previously provided report (performed within 8 months of appointment) and continue with goals and objectives set forth in the evaluation and designated IEP. This supplemental private therapy can assist with increasing progression at a faster rate, involve parents in the therapy sessions to assist with carryover of goals and increase the child's overall self-esteem.
